Using USD and Imperial. You can change either choice.

Currency changes the unit of your amounts, not their value. No exchange rate or country-specific tax, benefit, or lending rule is applied. Money results and loan schedules retain the calculators’ two-decimal precision; this does not apply local cash-rounding rules.

Measurement changes convert valid existing quantities. Incomplete entries stay as typed; finish them using the units shown. Other units stay as labeled. Enter numbers as 1,234.56; a decimal comma is not supported.

Initial suggestions use only your browser’s language region. Choices are saved on this browser; no location lookup is used.

Your calculations

Calculations run in your browser. Your inputs and results are not included in analytics events. They stay on your device unless you choose the optional result-sharing service described below. Your currency and measurement preferences are saved on your device.

If you click to reuse a TDEE estimate, its kcal/day value, age and activity assumption are temporarily placed in this tab’s session storage for the calorie comparison page. The handoff is valid for 10 minutes and is removed when that page reads it; closing the tab also clears session storage. These values are not placed in the URL or sent to analytics. Reloading the destination restores its example inputs.

Saving and sharing results

Mortgage Recast device bookmarks store the calculation in your browser; clearing website data removes those records. PNG images and CSV downloads are created locally and are not uploaded.

Only when you click “Create 30-day link” do we store that scenario’s numeric inputs, currency and creation time in Cloudflare KV. Anyone with the random link can view the calculation. The record expires automatically after 30 days. No name, email or account is required. Saved/shared result pages do not load our analytics scripts and are excluded from search indexing. We use an hourly hash of the requesting IP address for a short-lived sharing limit, removed within an hour. A downloaded copy is outside this expiry policy.

Cookies and website analytics

We use Pageview and Google Analytics to understand website visits and improve the site. These services may receive pages visited, referring pages, browser and device details, and technical request information such as an IP address. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish visits.

You can manage cookies and stored website data in your browser settings. Clearing website data also resets saved preferences. See Google’s privacy policy for its data practices.

Website hosting

Cloudflare hosts and protects CalcAhead. It may process technical request information to deliver the site and maintain security. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

When you contact us

If you email us, we use your email address, message and any attachments to respond to your enquiry. Our email services are provided by Cloudflare and Google. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.
